Reasoning: This award is granted to a debuting screenwriter who has created a truly authentic and moving relationship between two sisters. The screenplay used motifs which are rarely presented on screen. The Jury genuinely wants to support the winner so she continues on her path, as her “female voice” is needed. The award goes to Monika Sobień-Górska.
The Female Voice Award is presented to outstandingly talented women actively involved in the Polish film industry. They are ambitious, creative, and efficient. The award aims to support women in pursuing their artistic projects and professional plans in the heavily masculinized world of cinema.

AWARD FOR BEST ACTRESS IN THE POLISH FEATURE FILM COMPETITION

Reasoning: The Jury has decided to grant this award for roles that would not exist without each other. The Jurors had no doubts as to the absolute commitment and sisterly love we see on screen. This year, the best actress award goes to…. two actresses, Magdalena Cielecka and Marta Nieradkiewicz for the film Anxiety.

AWARD FOR BEST ACTOR IN THE POLISH FEATURE FILM COMPETITION

Reasoning: The winning performance is complex and very convincing. The Mastercard Rising Star Award has been granted to an actress playing an actress with great future ahead of her. The award goes to Magdalena Dwurzyńska.

FIPRESCI PRIZE
WINNER: Next to Nothing, dir. Grzegorz Dębowski
Reasoning: For universal appeal, an empathic research in the problems of rural Poland, that audiences around the world can identify themselves with, skilful play with film genres, and finally for excellent multidimentional performance by Artur Paczesny – a role which should be a ticket to a successful film career. The FIPRESCI Prize goes to the film Next to Nothing.
The prize is awarded by FIPRESCI, the International Federation of Film Critics (Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique) – an organization associating film critics from over 50 countries around the world and awarding prizes at the best film festivals.

POLISH PRODUCERS ALLIANCE AWARD
WINNERS: Piotr Grawender and Maciej Hamela for the production of the film In the Rearview
The value of the main prize is PLN 45,000 and it is funded by Veles Productions, Przybecki i Partnerzy law firm and the Management of the Polish Producers Alliance.
The prize comprises:
- A voucher from Veles Productions virtual production studio for a shooting day of the producer’s new project, in Veles Productions studio in Warsaw (PLN 40,000).
- Legal services of Przybecki i Partnerzy law firm (PLN 3,000)
- Financial award from the Management of the Polish Producers Alliance (PLN 2,000)
Reasoning: Granting the prize, the jury emphasizes that: In the Rearview presents, in the most touching way, human resilience when faced with the most difficult challenges. Through bold filmmaking of this important documentary, its creators became the voice of hope and fight for humanism even in the darkest time of war. Thanks to their determination to show the truth and power of human spirit in adversity, In the Rearview not only moves but also inspires us to act and reflect on the values that define our community as human beings. That is an enormous challenge for debuting producers.

SPECIAL MENTION:
The Jury has decided to award Maria Krauss for the production of the film Faces of Agata.
The award comprises a one-week stay for the producer and the production team at a place of creative work No Drama House, where they could develop their new project. The award is funded by No Drama Production.
Reasoning: Making the special mention, the jury emphasizes that Faces of Agata is a deeply moving and humanistic film, the producer of which gives not only her artistic talent but also heart and commitment at every stage of production. Her absolute determination to present Agata’s story, her fight and triumph, gives a beam of hope. Owing to her sensitivity and empathy, the audiences have a chance to delve into the protagonist’s world, discovering new reserves of compassion and understanding for human experience. The producer of Faces of Agata has not only made a film, but she also offered us a gift of a journey through life, filled with emotions, reflection and hope.

The #63seconds film competition is addressed to young filmmakers between the ages of 15 and 22. The motto of this year’s competition was: “What is not visible, however important”. Films could have been created in any film technique, but their running time could not exceed 63 seconds.
