Casting director
Kate studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, so long ago she can’t remember the year. It didn’t take her long to realise that she was very much on the wrong side of the camera and ventured into the world of Casting.
Her introduction to Casting started as an Assistant on The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles for Lucasfilm. It was a terrific baptism of fire as she was sent to Prague and Athens to organise local casting sessions as well as supporting the Casting Director. She then went on to work for Debbie McWilliams on GOLDENEYE, ROMEO and JULIET (UK search for Juliet), TALES FROM THE CRYPT and many other projects. Kate also worked with another Casting Director – Janey Fothergill (who has since retired) and worked on many film and television projects ie Pride and Prejudice, Taking over the Asylum, Carrington, The Secret Agent amongst others.
Kate reluctantly left the security of Debbie and Janey and went solo. Kate worked a lot in British television, here are some of her credits. The Lakes, Bleak House, Sense and Sensibility, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, Alan Clark Diaries, Dirty Filthy Love, Bleak House, The Line of Beauty, Line of Duty – all series. Appropriate Adult, Sherlock, The Tunnel, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, Ripper Street, The Missing, Bodyguard, The Terror. More recently Catherine the Great, Warrior, Baghdad Central, Raised by Wolves, House of the Dragon Series 1 and 2 and Interview with the Vampire Series 1 and 2.
Kate has recently finished working with Noah Hawley on his version of ALIEN for FX, which is presently filming in Thailand.
Kate has worked with Sir Ridley Scott exclusively for the past 7 years on the following projects:

Kate is in the midst of casting the biopic of The Bee Gees with Ridley Scott directing.
